About me
I have been working as a gastrointestinal nurse practitioner for 15 years and taught yoga consistently for 9 years with Soul Yoga and then Trailside Yoga. For a long time, I have been working to help people better understand their digestive system (aka guts) and how this relates to our general health and well being. I am deeply passionate about this and have tried to integrate my work into my life. As I have been transitioning through menopause, I started to realize that no one really discusses this time in our lives. Not even gynecologists! It is as if we are left to fend for ourselves and cope with all of the changes without any real guidance. I have become a passionate advocate for women's health and sexual well being. I hope to further my education and become a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner over the coming year. I love sharing what I have gleaned in my research thus far. I feel as if this is a time in our lives where we as women can come together and enrich each other with our experiences and our shared commitment at finding joy and power in this time of transition.
